Orphan prgm names in add/remove list

Some prgm names still appear in the add/remove prgm list
even though the program has already been removed from the computer.

Is there a way to remove these orphan names ?

Is there a way to remove these orphan names ?

In the Add/Remove list, select one of orphaned entries and click the
Change/Remove button. You'll get a pop-up which says that the
installation program cannot be found and will be asked if you want to
remove the entry. Click "Yes" and it's gone.

Thanks but the ones still remaining don't do that.

Are they in a file somewhere or in the registry ?

Yes. Look at the subkeys under:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
