orientation of landscape pages

I am on XP and Word 2002. When I print a new section
landscape after a portrait section, the pages are 180
degrees off (turned the wrong way). Other computer systems
printing the same documents are correct.

This is surely purely and exclusively controlled by your printer driver.
When you compared with other machines, was the printer driver
*exactly* the same? Probably a *feature* of printer driver not
corrected by getting an update.

The *correct* way to rotate pages is
- portrait read top to bottom
- landscape - view from "right" side when page viewed in portrait.

Many people (and writers of printer drivers) do it wrong.
