Ordinal Not Found

Doug

Each time I use anything at all, an error message pop ups
that says "The Ordinal 313 could not be located in the
dynamic link library OLEAUT32.dll" This comes up for
everything and sometimes prohibits use of a program.

That DLL may have been replaced with an older version. Maybe you
applied a hotfix/patch and the install didn't go so well? If so
try uninstalling it.

Your best-bet would be to try re-applying the service pack, or you
might get by with installing the VB6sp5 run-times:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;290887
If the Support Tools are installed,
filever %systemroot%\system32\oleaut32.dll
would give you the version.
Here W2K SP4 returns
2.40.4522.0
