Nevermore

Hello, I have an annoying problem that I cannot figure out for the life of
me. I like to use inches as my preferred measurement. I advise Word of
this--and it is like talking to a brick wall! Every time I reopen, there is
the ruler wonderfully displaying centimetres. Any clues? Everything else
seems to be "sticking" ie. my toolbar customization, my macros etcetera so I
have no reason to believe that this involves normal.dot or whatever.

Running XP Home, Office XP Professional.

Thanks for any help!

Are you sure they're centimeters and not character units? See

Quite sure! I live in the land of centimetres (grin). I may have figured it
out but it makes no sense to me. So far, it is working. I have WindowsWasher
and use it to regularily delete my caches etcetera. I did have it cleaning
Word's recent file list (I like it to be purged from time to time). I
removed this cleaning and it seems like the inches are staying. I am a bit
boondoggled--what on earth would the recent file list have to do with an
option re measurements? Consider that question rhetorical. I am just pleased
it seems to be working.

Thank you for your interest.
