I'm creating a demonstration .pps for a trade show. It will be looped
continuously and is not narrarated.

Can anyone suggest an optimal timing scheme? In other words, how long should
each slide appear, considering it's a stand-alone demo without sound?

Thank you.

G'day. in order to truefully answer that question we would need more detail.
I train classes of 50 people using powerpoint all the time but it really
depends on what material you are using. Is it going to have text on it or is
it going to be a picture show only. if it is a picture only slide show 3
seconds or so is optimal to run for the slides. If there is going to be text
I always had someone who may be a slower reader ( I have a 10 year old son)
read the slide. how ever long it takes them to read it is how long I time
the slide for. Hope this helps.

Just pre-test your show in front of people of the target and take care of
their advices (That's always what I do)
