Optimal Display Resolution

PowerPoint "Page Setup" provides a way to specify the aspect ratio (3high x
4wide) for slides.

Is there a setting anywhere which will set the slides for an optimal display
resolution?

If an image were to be designed to exactly fill the powerpoint slide, would
that image define the display resolution?

Any good material on this subject out there?

Thanks,

In slide show view, PPT will fill the available display with your slides to the
extent possible w/o distorting them (it'll put black bands on sides or
top/bottom if need be to prevent distortion).

If you don't want that, simply use a slide size that's proportional to the size
of monitor you'll be displaying the presentation on.

I don't think I understand the question but what the heck, talk's cheap. Tell
me if I'm on the wrong track, but:

If the image is in the same proportions as the slide setup, then it can be
inserted and sized to fill the slide w/o being distorted. The resolution of
the image will have no effect on display resolution, though.
