XP has no such native capability.
Used to use Textbridge Pro, then switched to Omnipage a couple of years ago.
Neither are perfect.

Standard OmniPage Pro ver 14 = $150.00 (from their web site). Cheaper
on-line through usual outlets of course.

No. No version of Windows does.
There are several good choices. I use and like OmniPage Pro. It's
not perfect, but if the source is good, the results are very
good.
