Opportunities. - reducing the list of displayed entries

Hi, we use BCM Opportunities to record most enquiries into the business and
thus have currently around 500 entries. Of these probably 200 or so are
either Closed Lost or Closed Won.
As such I would like to filter these off the system so that all the searches
are quicker. I could just get them deleted but we will then lose all that
valuable information.
Any ideas?

Cheers

For performance improvements you need to really delete items from the
database, not just move them to the deleted items folder (that's what
happens when items are normally deleted).

You can export those opportunities to a BCM file, and import them back
if you need them in the future.
Or backup your database.
And then delete them twice; the second time from the Deleted Items
folder.

Hi adrian,

You can do the following:

1)Right Click the search folder and select create new search folder
2)In the dialog, select Opportunities from the drop down
3)Click filter on the dialog
4)Click advanced tab on the Look up filter dialog
5)Select the field the user wants to filter on.
6)Click ok to both the dialogs

Filtered results should show up in the explorer view.
