My computer was idle the other day and when i came back to it the screen was black and the message 'operating system not found' was displayed. I have not added a new hardware or software recently. When I tried to reinstall windows it said: the problem seems to be caused by setupdd.sys. It won't let me go into safe mode, I can't disable caching or shadowing in bios. Technical information:
STOP: 0X00000050 (0XE16BBED0, 0X00000000, 0XF84C19A8, 0X000000001)
setupdd.sys - Address F84C19A8 base at F849A000, datestamp 41107C8F

Can anybody help with this problem. Thank you in advance

That 'stop' error is usually associated with bad ram ... try swapping it out for known good stuff, or if you have 2 sticks installed, take one out and try it, then replace with the other & try again.

It can be any amount of other 'problems' also, usually hardware ... good luck.
