That message is indicative of a very serious problem. Did you "do anything"?
I would take the computer to a shop. Bring along any CD's that came with it.
Boot from your windows CD
Get into the repair console, and enter "fixMBR"
actually enter "help" at the prompt to get a full list of available
commands, but I think "fixmbr" is correct.
