In my most illustrative application of Laura's dripping sarcasm font,
I'd say those vulns wouldn't have had to been fixed if folk had remained
with Opera v6.06, you know, the good one, back before all the DOM
features were added.

I installed v8.5 over my old 7.54 and it worked great.
It only took about about an hour to prowl around in it and
do a few tweeks to finalize it.
