opera?

Just curious if anyone knows if the Opera browser uses the
IE web control / web dll'd or did they completely rewrite
it from scratch?

For that matter, I also want to know what language was used to create the
whole of Windows / .NET. Was it C++? How could somebody write the whole of
SQL Server or something in a language like C++? Beats me.
