Opera session problem

Hi all,

While testing my site with a variety of browsers, i've noticed that
Opera seems to lose it's session id between each page request. The
version of opera i'm testing is 8.54. Because it looses the session
ID, it absolutely breaks the site. With cookieless set to true,
everything works fine, but this breaks all offsite linking.
Has anyone else encountered this issue? Also, I take it that if a user
has disabled cookies, this would also break the site. Any way of
getting round these (major) issues?

Thanks.

Could it be that cookies have been disabled in your Opera configuration...?

Hi Mark,

Cookies haven't been disabled. i've downloaded the latest version and
tried the site on two machines and the problem still occurs. The site
in question is:

http://test.obearchive.com/

The site is currently a test bed for basic functionality. Creating an
account, logging in, then logging out recreates the problem. Simply
choosing menu items after logging out sometimes shows the 'logged in'
menu items. This error doesn't occur on firefox or ie.

Hi Mark,

has the email not arrived yet? I've made a bit of progress. Disabling
caching in opera seems to solve the problem. On the surface, it seems
that sometimes opera reads a page from the cache, other times it uses
the live page. Other browsers don't have this issue with caching, so
i'm not sure why opera does.
