OpenOffice Draw - View > Grid seems not to work

When I try to turn on a grid in OpenOffice Draw, all that appears are
barely perceptible dots. Any way to create a matrix with more apparent
lines?

On OpenOffice 2.02, it is:

tools->
options->
draw->
grid->

Look for "Subdivision." Increase the default value from '1.' 7 or 10
seems to work pretty well for me...

Thanks Craig, that worked. A value of 10 also works well for me.
