opening Word documents

I am unable to open Word documents from Outlook. I can open every other file
extension under the sun - e.g., .wpd, .xls, .jpg, .pdf, etc, etc., but cannot
open Word. Any suggestions?
 
Anne - thanks very much for the suggestion. It worked. Funny thing, our
Network computer people worked on it two hours and couldn't figure out what
the problem was. I don't know why they didn't know about Detect and Repair.
Thanks much. You saved our firm hundreds of dollars.
