Opening Spreadsheet document poblem

I repeatedly receive the following :Message "Cannot open another
spreadsheet or data base. You can only have 6 works spreadshees open at one
time. My problem- I have no other spreadsheet open. I do have more than 20
spreadsheet items in Documents but may attemt to open any one fails.

Please click newsgroups on the Outlook Express toolbar, type works in the
search box, scroll to microsoft.public.works.win, select it, click go to and
try your question on that board. This is a works issue, not an XP issue.
