Opening saved outlook 2007 messages using outlook 2000

Hi There,
We have an interesting problem, most of our managers and admin are using
outlook 2007, most technical staff are stuck with outlook 2000, we file
e-mails as .msg and simply drag and drop them into a network folder, recently
we’ve been finding that files created and filed by 2007 users can’t be opened
by 2000 users, it simply gives the error ‘Unable to read the item’
Any ideas about how to stop this happening if there's a setting in 2007 we
need to change would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Matt

Save the message in the ANSI format instead of the UNICODE format to be
compatible with Outlook 2000.

You can change the default by going to;
Tools-> Options-> tab Other-> button Advanced Options-> option: Use Unicode
Message Format when saving messages
