opening saved messages with Vista

I upgraded my workstation from WinXP Pro to Vista Ultimate. I am running
Outlook 2003.

Since upgrading, I cannot open messages that were saved outside of Outlook
as *.msg files. When I try to open the file, my Outlook tab flashes several
times and nothing else happens. I assume it is a security thing that is
telling Outlook it is a potentially dangerous file, but I get no error
message or suggestion on how to address the issue.

Any recommendation would be appreciated.
