opening port 3389

I'm trying to connect using RDP, but no luck, how do I open port 3389?
anything else I need to check,

If your running the XP SP2 Windows Firewall you check off the exception
checkbox in the firewall configuration...

If your running a third-party firewall check the documentation for help...

If your running behind a router see this site for help...Ignore the
references to UDP Port 3389 and only forward TCP Port 3389...
