opening Outlook

I have been using office 2000 and its components since it came out, I have
had some problems in the past, but now I am not able to open OUTLOOK I get an
error message that it has a fault and to send an error report to microsoft,
which I have done frequently. Can ANYBODY advise me how i might be able to
open and use OUTLOOK and its component parts?
 
Hi Geoff,
have you already use SCANPST.EXE to look, if your pst file is already okay?
 
I put SCANPST.EXE into open but it came back that it couldn't be found. I
have been able to 'move' all folders from outlook to outlook express, its
just that OUTLOOK won't open now. up until last thursday it did. I tried
restore for before then but that failed as well.
