Opening IE 6

Whenever I open IE 6, I get a page cannot be displayed,
but in the address bar it changes the address to
something like the following:

http:///? .www.tbo.com

I was trying to open www.tbo.com.

Then if I try again, it gives me the following address:

www.errorplace.com/red2.php......

Can anyone help?
