opening IE 6.0

Everytime I attempt to open IE 6.0, I receive as erro
message that requires me to shut-down IE 6.0 and asks to
send a error message to mircosoft. Essentially, this
prevents me from over opening the browser. Anyone with an
idea how to fix this, please provide suggestions.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.
