Opening Form in Edit Mode

How can I set a form so that it opens in Edit Mode after prompting the user
for a filter selection(s) vs. opening it with the first record showing?
Vs. opening it in ADD mode (which I can control from the Switchboard form)
 
You can also set your form to open in edit mode from the
switch board.
