Opening files and folders in my docs

Hi to all,
Not sure how this happened, I double left click my documents and it opens
ok. then when I double click on any of the folders eg my albums it goes to
search. To open I have to right click then select open from the list. Search
is at the top and open is second etc, I`m sure open used to be at the top
before. Can anyone reverse this?
