Opening file from Xserve extremely slow with XP Pro

I have a user that is experiencing a very slow opening when he double
clicks on a file. This file is stored on an OS 10.4.3 Xserve. The
client computer is running XP Pro SP1. Do you think upgrading to SP2
would make any difference with this? It was working fine up until we
upgraded the server to 10.4 (it was running 10.3 prior).

If it was working fine with 10.3 and you've changed nothing on the XP
box, contact Apple tech support. Perhaps this is a known issue on their
server os.
