Opening and Excel spreadsheet in IE

R

Rick Quinn

I have a user who is trying to open a spreadsheet in IE. She clicks on the
link and it comes up with a "page cannot be displayed error". I am able to
open the spreadsheet just fine. The user is able to save the spreadsheet to
her desktop and open it that way and also, if she already has Excel open,
she can open the file without a problem.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Outstanding advice.

If you have to have a wrench, but all I can offer you is a hammer, then I
would expect you to find some way of using the hammer to loosen the bolt and
forget about your silly ideas of using a wrench.

How did you decide that the OP requires a wrench?

Usually, a poster requires a solution, which Dave provided.
