Opening an MPEG file on the browser

I made the Zoom Player a default player for MPG/MPEG extension.

When I download the file and click open, it takes long time to open and play
the file to Zoom Player.

When I changed my default player to Windows Media Player, it opens right away.

I would like to know why?

If you're using Zoom Player Pro, try enabling customized media mode
(Options...Filter Control), if not, go through the media setup guide's clean
start section.

There's probably an issue with loading a codec.

Also, try updating your video drivers to the latest "public released"
version. If you overclock your video card or the CPU, don't... it tends to
have issues with ZP.

You can also try switching the video renderer to VMR9 to see if it helps
with this issue.
