Opening Access documents?

I'm trying to take an online course from a local college. They appear to
have used Microsoft Office to write many of their exercises and I can't open
a few of them. I am using Microsoft XP on my home computer. I have
installed the Microsoft Works Suite 2006 which includes Word 2002.
Apparently the college doesn't have a clue that I can't do this course with
just Word. I don't have the money to buy any more programs and my exams are
on the 25th.
What can I do to open files with an .mdb extension?

There are various converters and filters on these page.

Thank you, but I can't get either one of these to work. Are they for Windows
XP Home edition or Windows XP Office edition? I have the Home edition.

These are free.

MDB View is a very useful software that allows you to view mdb files on
system without Microsoft Access installed.

No, these should all work regardless of what edition of Windows XP you're
running.

I seem to just be getting blank documents, but the school says there should
be information in there.
