Opening a file

My wife has been working on a presentation for her class. As she was viewing
the slide show, the display stopped. Now when we try to open all we get is
"powerpoint can't read c:\etc.

We cannot get the file open now. Is there someway we can recover?

The program opens other presentations but not this one. It is about 5 megs.

You might try looking in your Temp folder for the file and see if you can
open it from there.

I cannot locate it in the temp folder. I have several copies of it and have
tried to open it on two different computers, but so far it has not worked on
either.

You might try opening a new presentation and the insert slides from
presentation (selecting the file that will not open) sometimes works in
cases like this

nothing seems to work. I found a temp file but it can't be opened. I can't
get access to the slides to insert them into a new document. I was able to
recover a little of the text after downloading Open office; but that is it.

Did you try opening the temp file with PowerPoint?
