opening a 2007 edited file in 2003 shows blank screen

Hello All,

I am working on a database created in Access 2003 using Access 2007. Other
users have 2003. I have done nothing to the file that would make it only able
to open in 2007. The file is saved in the .mdb extension.

When I opened the file with 2003, a blank working space appeared with a very
long scroll bar with a small slider at the bottom. When I tried to slide to
the top, the slider automatically re-bounded back to the bottom. No objects
were visible.

My goal is to open the database with both 2003 and 2007. How can I get the
file to open in 2003? What can I do to ensure and maintain this
compatibility when I am working in 2007?

Many thanks!

You need to do your work in 2003.
You can run it in 2007, but working in 2007 even when saved as an mdb can
cause problems.

I should also mention that when I show relationships, all tables are
indicated normally. The properties of the file are normal. I just cannot
access the objects themselves.

Thank you for your reply. I did not backup the data prior to editing it in
2007, having read that if I did not use any new 2007 functions, my file would
still be compatible with 2003. Is there anyway to make this file compatible
with 2003 again so that I can use it once again with the majority of the
systems in my office?

Thank you again.
