open windows won't minimize---they disappear

I can find them on Task Manager, but they no longer appear in the task bar at
the bottom. I suspect this is due to a recent service pack download, or
maybe to an installation of Google Taskbar and Google personalized homepage.
I'd appreciate any help! It's driving me nuts! Thanks in advance, KH

Try running the edit on Kelly's site:
