Open vs. Save attachments in Outlook 2007

When I try to open an attachment in Outlook 2007, the dialog box to open or
save the attachment comes up but it does not give me the choice to
check/uncheck the box that says do the same action each time I try to open an
attachment. I want to be able to open the attachment without clicking open or
save.

I am currently running Outlook 2007 and Vista.....

That file type change is only available to administrators since it affects
all users on the computer. Run Outlook as an administrator (in the right
click menu of the shortcut) and try again.

Great....that worked for me.

One other question though. When I click on photos as an attachment in my
email it opens in Windows Photo Gallery. Before I upgraded my computer I used
to be able to click 'next' in my photo viewing program to go to the next
picture attached in an email and now I can't. Do you know a way around that
one?

Again, thanks for your help

No, you were not doing that but you were browsing through the pictures you
received and opened before from within Outlook; Outlook's Temp Folder. For
more info on Outlook Temp's Folder see;
