Open Value License

When you purchase Microsoft's Windows XP Pro Open Value License program which
starts at a minimum of 5 licenses - I have been told that you get one
installation disk and that the disk is already Activated and you simple
install the disk on up to five different computers and you are not prompted
to activate the program

My question is:

During the installation process is the user prompted to send info to a
Microsoft server which stores info on each computer that the disk is
installed on similar to what is done when you activate a single retail copy -
it seems to me that Microsoft would have some way of keeping track of how
many computers are being installed with this single open value installation
disk ????

The disk is not activated....the Product Key (license)
is activated when you are prompted to and activate after
the installation is complete.
