open slides as a full screen show

When I save my slides (save or save as) they wont save so that when i double
click on them they don't open as a full screen show. I've tried the settings
in slide show menu, (kiosk and open in full screen option) and as a ttimed
show, but it always opens up ready for editing in out-line view rather than
running as a full screen.

Save your file as a PowerPoint Presentation .PPS when you double click on
the file it will open in the Slideshow mode.

Yep. That got it thank. i was saving it using the wrong doc box. d'ohhh

;-)

You also have Windows set to its d'ohhh default of hiding file extensions from
you. This will continue to gnaw on your nethers at unfortunate moments.

Follow the suggestions here to prevent this and other PPT/Windows gotchas:

Do this before using PowerPoint seriously
