Purchased new work PC with Win XP Pro and purchased
Frontpage 2003. I am trying to connect to my third party
web server. I click on open site and type my website
address. I can then enter my assigned User ID and
Password to authenticate and it continues to prompt me to
enter my UserID and Password again. After the second time
I get the message - The
folder "http://www.mysite.com/"isn't accessible. The
folder maybe located in an unavailable location,
protected with a password or the file name contains
a /or\. I was told by my the company who hosts my
website that it is a Microsoft issue.

I can connect to the webserver using my Windows 98
machine and FrontPage 2000.

Any advice would be Greatly appreciated.

I have read the attached articles and I can't seem to
find one that fits exactly. I am confused as to how to
go about opening a site from a third party host in FP
2003.

I was able to successfully import the website into this
folder: C:\Document and Settings\CindyS\my documents\my
web sites\mysite.

How can I download the website outside of 'documents and
settings? On my Win 98 PC I have a folder called,
Webfolders and I could just click on that to open my site.

This is what I am doing in FrontPage 2003:
File, Open Site, the default directory points to 'My
Websites'. I then enter http://www.myhomepage.com/ I then
get the prompt that it is trying to authenticate. It
prompts for a User Name and Password. I enter it and it
pops back to me. I couple times I was able to
successfully get to my home page. I tried to make a
change and save it and then I was prompted for my
username and password so I couldn't save it.

I also tried to publish the site locally, and that didn't
work either.

The MS Knowledge Base articles do not seem to fit my
case. Any other suggestions?
