open programs

My question is... I would like to see what programs are running in my
computer.. For example.. Limewire doesn't show when i open the computer...
How can i see all programs that are running on my computer..

Seems that its what you do with the software;not that it's running, have
had P2P apps for quite a long time and never any issues
