open powerpoint file in "full screen" or slide show mode

Can you save a powerpoint file so that when it is opened it opens in "full
screen" or slide show mode? I know that you can save a .pps file to open that
way, but how about a powerpoint file (.ppt)

Thanks

A .pps is a PowerPoint file the only difference is the way they open. A .ppt
opens in the Edit mode and .pps opens in the Slideshow mode

Thanks for your reply Michael, but I have another question. How do I go into
the "Edit" mode of a .pps file?

1. Launch PowerPoint.
2. Select File | Open...
3. Navigate to the PPS file and open it for editing.
