Just opening ports in a router won't really allow you full functionality, your router must
support Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) in order to use all the features of Messenger. A good
majority of routers now have UPnP functionality, you may just require a firmware update that
supports UPnP or just have to turn it on in your router. If you let us know what router
you're using, we can quickly help you identify one way or another for you.
