open files takes long time

On my windows xp pro station in workgroup apears following:
In Explorer when I open office documents, txt, ini, chm etc... files I can
see some network comunication (it is broadcast searching another computer)
and opening the document takes about several seconds.
In Total commander or with disconnected network cable I open the same
documents immediately.

What is the reason of this behaviour?

Use this article as an example, and locate the UNC paths in the registry.

Right-click is extremely slow only when Network is enabled:
