open exclusive

Hi

I have a few users using a .mde front-end on their pc. The problem is
whenever I am the first one to open the database, they are not able to open
theirs. (The .mdb is with my pc)

My db is not opened in exclusive and the shared mode is checked in options.
What's wrong and how do I overcome it. Help appreciated.

Check the windows permissions on the folder for the backend. All users need
modify (read, write, create, delete) permissions in order to create the
associated ldb file.
