Open CSV correctly

Hello

When I double-click on a CSV file, separate with ";", each line of my
file appears on a single column, but if I change the separator to ","
all is ok.

I change the Separator list to ";" in the regianl settings but no
changes !

Any idea to configure my Excel to take the ";" as separator?

When you tried this, did you have excel closed?

This technique has worked for me. Maybe just trying it again (with excel
closed) will work.

If it still fails, you can still
select the column
data|text to columns
delimited by ;

(an additional step, until you find the solution.)

It doesn't work...

With Excel 2003 if I change the Separator list in regional settings, it
takes effects when I open the csv file, but with Excel 2000 no effects

FWIW, because I am an extremely elderly person, I always boot excel and
then open the .csv file and never have any problems, regardless of
delimiter. If I double-clicked on a .csv file, it would open my text
editor, anyway.
