Only want my custom tab on ribbon

S

So Call Me Crazy

How do I eliminate even the "Home" tab from the database? I have created a
custom tab and those are the only options I want users to have. I have
unchecked "Allow Full Menus", but alas the Home tab still shows up.

Also, I converted a 2003 db to 2007. Now that customer toolbar is showing
up as a tab titled "Add-Ins". Since I am creating a custom tab with a title
a bit more discriptive than "Add-Ins", I want to eliminate this stupid tab.
Can't seem to figure that one out either.

TIA.

Hi,

I don't know about eliminating the Home ribbon. But to deal with the
other issue of a name different from "Add-Ins", you probably will have to
convert to the new ribbon system instead of a menu. Do a search for
"customize the ribbon", with the quotes, in Access's online help for details.

Actually, I found documentation to turn the default ribbon off. It involves
some XML. Can find the documentation under "Create and apply a custom
Ribbon".

The "Add-Ins" tab is part of the default ribbon from a converted .mdb that
contains a customer toolbar.

Hi,

There is also "Use existing custom toolbars and startup settings in
Access 2007" under the "Getting Started" section of the help.
