only 3 system fonts displayed in Word

Word 2002 and Windows XP. In a word document I am only
offered 3 system fonts though many many fonts are
displayed in Font Reserve and they are accessible in
Wordpad

What printer do you have set as default? IS it Generic/Text Only? Set the MS
Fax as default, then see how many fonts you have, or uninstall all printers
if you only have the one (you can reinstall it later). Do more fonts show up
in Word now?
