I cannot get Media Player to play videos on certain
websites: MSNBC, My MSN, and CBS. I suspect it has
something to do with popup blockers. Media Player works
with other media. This seemed to start when I installed
toolbars with popup blockers. I configured them to allow
popups, I uninstalled them, and I have reinstalled Media
Player. Nothing seems to work. Finally, if this is not
the right newsgroup for this problem, I would appreciate
being pointed in the right direction.

This probably won't help, but it might. I clicked a link
on MSN and it automatically loaded a Verizon Wireless ad--
that played without a hitch. Now everything seems fine.

You might be able to get it to run if you do the same
thing--it might require a few attempts, as I think the ad
loads randomly.

I was using MSN Explorer. I clicked the My Movies icon. I
then clicked the other cities link--as it had loaded
information for the wrong location. That caused the
Verizon video to load as a popup. I right clicked on it
to confirm it was a Media Player video, and played it
again. Things are now working just find.
