My network consist in two computers (win98 and win xp home
edition) connected on a Dlink router (DI-604) which is
connected to a modem cable with dinamic ip adress.
The problem is that I can't renew and release my ip adress
on my XP computer so it's not connected to the Lan and the
wan.
What I did:
-Checked my router settings : DHCP is enabled and can
distribute IP from x.x.x.100 to x.x.x.199, it connects to
the internet because my win 98 computer connects to it.
-I changed a billion times RJ45 cable to check if it was a
connection problem: no
-I reset my router a lot of times...
-I reset my tcp-ip protocol with the netsh int ip reset
command, that didn't change anything
-I turned on/off my computer so much time my thumb is blue.
-I tried static ip adress
-I reinstaled my lan card with updated drivers...
The problem started when I connected to another network
then tried to reconnect to my home lan.
Help me please, my family is starting to put a lot of
pressure on me (at least it's not my boss) and I really
don't know what to do!
