One or more parameter values are not valid

I've written a custom mail form that is published in the Organizational
Forms Library. When it is run from there, and sent to the recipient, it
shows up in their Inbox with a "post" icon, and can't be opened. The user
gets the error message "Can't open this item. Could not complete the
operation. One or more parameter values are not valid.".

If I open the custom form in "Design" mode, and "Run" the form to send it,
then the message arrives with the normal "envelope" icon, and runs properly.
I've tested this process on my own machine (used to create the form), and
have the same problem opening the email message.

I've tried "remming" out the VBScript code in the Item_Open subroutine with
no effect. I've also explored playing with RTF and plain-text issues, but
the custom form doesn't even use the "Body" field.

Any thoughts you'd wish to share would be appreciated.
