Al

If I try to empty recycle bin (XP Home) with it open Quick finder opens
instead of emptying. If I right click on recycle bin and select empty, it
empties.
Not really a problem, but annoying!

Suggest you search your harddrive or menu to either uninstall or delete
Quick Finder.
 
Quick finder has been causing problems for at least five years. Why are you
using it?.

Deleting these two will help. (Also removes the context-menu handlers for QuickFinder)

Meanwhile, post the contents of the following registry keys:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers
-and-
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers

Click Start, Run and type REGEDIT.
Choose File, Export and save each branch seperately as REG files
Post the contents of the REG files here.

If I try to empty recycle bin (XP Home) with it open Quick finder opens
instead of emptying. If I right click on recycle bin and select empty, it
empties.
Not really a problem, but annoying!
