One E-Mail Deleted sometimes when I press Send/Receive in Outlook

I use Outlook to manage my Hotmail e-mail account.

I have noticed recently that when I press the Send/Receive option in Outlook
or allow the Send/Receive function to be triggered by ticking the box "Allow
access for....." (1 minute etc.) when I receive a warning that a program is
trying to access e-mail addresses that I have stored in Outlook, very often
one e-mail will be deleted.

Does anyone know why this is - or what I can do to prevent it occuring?
