~ on my desktop?

Anyone else have a ~ on their desktop?

This has started happening since updating my XP Home.

PS: AntiVirus is up-to-date.

This seems to be a known problem with the Microsoft address book. It a a
backup copy.

Excellent Advice - so in essence its harmless, and has occurred because of a
MS patch issued to prevent an OE vulnerability, however this patch is
flawed.
