on-line homework and vista compatibility

I do alot of on-line classes in college. We have a program called
blackboard. When I go into to blackboard you will usually have a question
and a box like this one that I am typing in to answer. The problem is that
now since I purchased a new computer with vista I don't have that box
anymore. I'm sure there is a simple answer (i hope!!!) but i need help!!!!!

This isn't a Vista or Windows issue. Contact the makers of this
"Blackboard" application for technical assistance or to obtain a
Vista-compatible version of the application.
